Marari Beach
This beach is located in the Alleppey District of Kerala and is just about 11 kms from Allepey or Alappuzha town. The name of this beach is derived from Mararikulam, which is a fishing village situated nearby this beach. One can also visit coir workshops here, coir is a material which is produced from the husk of coconuts and is used in the production of many products such as brushes and mats.This beach is an endless vista of sand and clear waters. You can try the ethnic Kerala cuisine here using a make-shift spoon called the fisherman’s spoon. This is a made out of a jackfruit leaf and functions just as nicely as a spoon. This type of spoon usually accompanies traditional fish curries.
