Peerumedu
An exotic hill station Peerumedu or Peermade as it is otherwise known is located 915 meters above sea level. This hill station was the summer home of the Travancore Maharajas in olden times. The hill station gets its name from a Sufi Saint Peer Mohammed who was a close associate of the Travancore Maharajas. Located about 85 kilometers from Kottayam, this hill station of Kerala has a salubrious climate the year around and also serves as a perfect weekend getaway.
